Topaz Lake

Finishing construction in 1937 this 2,410 acre lake with a max depth of 92 ft. is a picturesque fishery sharing its shoreline with Nevada and California. Hosting a booming Smallmouth population with a few kicker Largemouth mixed in.

Travel information: Located 22 miles south of Gardnerville Topaz has a few options for lodging and food. A couple different chain hotel options are lakefront along with some local restaurant options. there is the option of camping in the parks developed camp sites or resign yourself to an hour or so drive and stay in Yerington or Gardnerville with plenty of lodging accommodations.
